Why You Should Use OPT In Email Only

Email marketing is one of the most successful marketing platforms.

Email inboxes are considered personal channels.

As a result, most countries have strict regulations on which email addresses you are allowed to use in your marketing list.

Sending an email to Opt-in contacts is always recommended because Opt-in contacts are proven to provide the best result!

Most of the Non-Opt-In contact emails will bounce or end up in the spam box.

If your email generates a lot of spam complaints and you don't have evidence that the recipient needs to receive emails from you, you'll be blacklisted by us and you won’t be able to send email again from Floppy Email.

Opt-In contacts are

  • Subscribers who filled out a subscription form on your website.
  • Customers who submitted a form on my website and checked the box that said "please add me to your email list."
  • Made this request within the last two years
  • Customers who have agreed to receive updates about your business.
  • People who expressly requested to receive your email campaigns while visiting your booth at an event or tradeshow.

Non-Opt-In contacts are

  • Lists obtained from business cards at trade shows and specifically didn’t ask to receive your email campaigns
  • Customers who have purchased products or services from you and didn’t give you permission to use their email
  • Using publicly visible email address from website or any social media account
  • Contacts in your email address book
  • Purchased or rented lists
  • People who opted in to receive emails about a different brand or subject matter

What is SPAM

Generally, SPAM term means any email which has been sent to someone without his or her permission. You need to have his or her permission to send out an email.

If the recipient's personal identity and context are irrelevant since the message is similarly applicable to many other possible recipients, the message is considered "spam."

When the receiver has not verifiably given deliberate, clear, and still-revocable permission for it to be sent, it is also known as SPAM.

We take the issue of spam very seriously at Floppy Email because we depend on being white-listed by internet service providers.

A big NO!

  • Using email lists that have been collected from publicly accessible online data.
  • Using e-mail lists that have been bought, rented, leased, or accessed in some other way from a third party.
  • Unrequested e-mailing to people who haven't given you permission to contact them or haven't expressly asked for it.
  • Using a list that is more than 6 months old without reconfirming the subscribers' permission.
  • Subject lines that are misleading – The subject line must not contain any false or misleading information. It must include a description of the content you're sending.
